All reviews and contests for readers (giveaways) are hand picked by the editor with an eye towards companies that she trusts and products in which she has true interest (again, with the intention of getting the most relevant and useful information to The Smoky Blue Palette readers)
The Smoky Blue Palette will review items, however, all of the reviews are and will always be 100% honest. If a company let us down, she will tell you. If a shade is unflattering, the packaging is sloppy or a formula needs some more testing; The Smoky Blue Palette will be honestly telling you all that.
