It's getting really HOT in Dubai! So as our freshest and newest face! Meet the hypnotizing and captivating beauty--MS. CHARLENE MAY BELLO :D
Weekends are reserved as sacred rest days for me--but nevertheless, when called to duty as MUA for Dennis, I have energy no less than 100%. TRUE! So, when I found out that he's up and running for a photo shoot that night...I was thrilled even if I was too tired from wandering World Trade Center early that day.
While preparing my makeup stash, someone walked by and I was stunned (don't judge me, but I do like looking at gorgeous women as well! Haha!). Her name is Charlene May Bello. Without makeup, she already is gorgeous as she is. Even so with makeup on! (Right?)
I initially thought she's a snob, but I was completely wrong. She's very very nice, sweet and very friendly :) In 30 minutes, we could've probably talked about anything and everything under the Dubai sun! But, in a gist--I am really happy to say that her beauty is hypnotizing and captivating, combined with a great personality, equals one amazing woman!
Since Charlene's complexion is medium, I immediately thought that I'd make her standout as a bronze beauty. Her eyes are pretty as they are already, so I didn't apply very heavy makeup on her--just a hint of blue, matching her royal blue outfit.
To recreate this look, here are the products used and techniques applied:
I always start any makeup session by making sure that the model's face is clean and fresh. Then I apply Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation in Ivory.
TIP: Use a stippling brush when applying your base foundation, to even out coverage and achieve a flawless look. Sweep with a sponge to even out application, then apply your favorite pressed/loose powder to set the foundation in place. With Charlene, I used Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder to lock in the base to achieve a smooth finish.
I always make it a point to prime the eyes with a primer potion or base. And you know which one I used--Urban Decay Primer Potion in Natural (I don't think I'd ever change my brand, but hmmm..let's see!). I wanted her dress and makeup to be coordinated, so I decided to use my Max Factor Color Perfection Eyeshadow 455 Sparkling Sirius.
TIP: To blend colors well, start layering your eyeshadows with the lightest color in the palette. Then the mid-tone and the darkest shade last. Use a blending brush to prevent harsh lines.
For her brows, I fluffed a little brown wax from E.L.F. Studio Eyebrow Kit to fill her brows and then shaped it proportionally. Remember, brows is equally important as any part of your face to be prepped. Your brows frame your face, so just imagine if you skip grooming it! :(
I used Sephora Aspen Summit Eyeshadow as highlighter beneath her brows, and blended it well with the blue eye shadow applied earlier.
To contour her cheeks, I used Max Factor Bronzing Powder. Her cheek bones are already prominent, so I just highlighted it a tad, and applied blusher on the apple of her cheeks. I used Sephora Blush Me! in Meringue Jalouse 2 just to give her cheeks a rosy blush.
To finish the look, I applied MAC Lipstick in Myth. It's an opaque, peachy, nude satin finish, so it's perfect. It doesn't overpower the eye makeup. Then I applied Max Factor Vibrant Curve Effect Lip Gloss in 05 Bubbly.
TIP: Line the lips with a lip liner, in the closest shade possible to your lipstick. This way, it's already outlined, and you only have to fill it in.
Some more eye candy, ladies!
